Inclusive Playground Frankston Foreshore

We recently visited the Frankston Foreshore playground to review the Liberty Wheelchair Swing. While that is a great facility for children using a wheelchair, we were more struck by the inclusive and accessible nature of the main playground. The area is extensively ramped and has boardwalks through all of the main play areas. The sandpit has a mechanical digger that can be operated by a child from their wheelchair as can the boat deck play area and associated controls. The main "Castle" is fully ramped right up into the turret which allows children using a wheelchair to be included in the fun the rest of the family or their friends are having. Parents using a wheelchair can also join in anywhere in the playground and for those with young children can even supervise the slide from the upper turret. The Liberty Swing is great but the rest of the playground offers a great inclusive play experience.
